“Robbie, you are my God-given soulmate. I take you, with all my heart and soul, to be my husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward. For better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for as long as we both shall live. As God as my witness, I give you my unbreakable solemn vow. I love you!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
9 years ago today, Robbie and I said “I do” with starry eyes, lots of love, and a bright hope. ❤️ When we exchanged those vows, we didn’t know what we would encounter after that day. Perhaps it was our youth, a little naivety, and a lot of wedding excitement, but we just didn’t think much of what the world could throw at us and what those words could really mean. Well, we’ve been through it all… better, worse, sickness, health, loving, cherishing, and the days where we could’ve done better. We are truly stronger and closer because of it. And, I would say those vows all over again. 💕 Thank you for being the best there is, Robbie! Happy Anniversary! I’m excited for what the next year holds for us!

This year, Robbie and I were blessed to celebrate the 4th of July holiday weekend and our 9th wedding anniversary at our family cabin, one of our favorite places ever! 🌲 It’s incredibly beautiful and peaceful up here at the lake. And it’s free… perfect for parents-to-be who are saving for an adoption! 😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was wonderful, much-needed rest, relaxation, and quality time together. While we await “the call,” we are taking the time to cherish these moments with just the two of us, pre-parenthood. Though, I have to admit, most of the time, we’re talking and daydreaming about what it will be like when baby is here and all the things we can’t wait to show, share, and teach them.
